Writing Prompts: When a Relationships Goes Downhill…

Love is a wonderful thing except when it isn’t. When it comes to relationships, nothing hurts more than rejection whether that rejection happens during the first meeting or after twenty years of knowing one another. While the majority of us are able to simply collect ourselves and move on, some cannot and that’s when things go from back to ugly.

Today we are going to explore the dark side of the human heart and see what tragedies await within.

1. Write about someone who doesn’t want another person to succeed and so does everything they can to sabotage their efforts.

2. Write about someone who, in an effort to keep their significant other from leaving, traps them in a room.

3. Write about someone who, after being rejected by someone, finds themselves being stalked by that very same person.

4. Write about someone, who after being rejected, kidnaps the person’s pet to blackmail them into going out with them.

5. Write about someone who impersonates their twin in order to be with their significant other.
