Writing Prompts: The Things People Say

This week we are exploring interesting characters. People are interesting creatures. We often say and do things that seem perfectly normal to us but make absolutely no sense to anyone else.

Today we are going to put words in our characters mouths and explore what happens when they say what is on their minds.

1. “Based on extensive scientific research, I have discovered that I really am the center of the universe.”

2. “I love you but I would sell you for a six pack of chocolate bars in a heart beat.”

3. “My great, great grandmother was from another planet.”

4. “It was so nice of him to die.”

5. “I’m king of the bathroom.”
