Writing Prompts: The End

Well another month draws to an end. This makes the fourth one of the year. Does anyone even remember what their New Year’s Resolution is much less are still trying to achieve it?

Anyway, in honor of another month closing, I’m going to throw out some endings for you. The goal here is to work backwards and develop stories that will end with the following:

1. I used to say never. Not anymore.

2. After placing the file in the cabinet with the other solved cases, he sat back at his desk and pulled another file from the pile stacked precariously in his inbox.

3. Game over.

4. “Where to?” She asked as the ship left Earth’s orbit. “Anywhere but there,” he replied.

5. That summer I learned that monster do exist.
