Writing Prompts: Graduation

That time of year has come when many high school seniors and college students will do the walk that both signifies the end of their old life as a teenager and beginning of their new life as a young adult. Graduation is more than a motivational speech or a turn of the tassel. It signifies the moving on to the next stage of life experiences.

This week our theme is going to be all about moving to the next level and exploring the benefits and consequences those changes can bring.

1. Write about a person going through the commencement ceremony and the emotion they feel at leaving high school behind.

2. Write about a person who nearly does not graduate because of a problem with their school records.
