Book Review: Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon

This is the first book I read in the Dark Hunter series and it got me hooked.

For her birthday her best friend Selena decides Grace needs to spice up her life and do something exciting. She finds this dusty old book with a spell to summon a hunky lover for her friend. Grace gives into her friend Selena and does the summoning spell, not really believing anything will happen and is shocked when a completely naked Jullian appears in her lounge room.

Jullian tries his hardest to seduce Grace as the curse demands him too but Grace refuses instead treating him like person rather than a sexual object. Grace shares her life with him and the strange new world that he is in. She even tries to teach him how to drive. When they discover the curse can be broken Grace does everything in her power to help the man she is falling in love with, even though it will be extremely dangerous for them both.

Fantasy Lover gives a whole new spin on the gods of mythology and their interaction with the mortal world. It was a fun, light read that will make you laugh and cry.
